SchoolCARE's Final Push: Help Fund Student Programs Next Year

Dear Albany Community,
For 25 years, SchoolCARE has been a valued partner to Albany Unified, helping to fund essential staff positions that benefit students at every one of our schools. I want to share my heartfelt appreciation for SchoolCARE and the meaningful impact it continues to have on our students and school communities. While it may not always be visible, it’s very likely that someone supported by SchoolCARE has played a role in your child’s experience in AUSD—whether through academic support, enrichment, or student wellness services.
This ongoing support is made possible by the generosity of our community, and it allows us to offer expanded opportunities and services that help all students thrive. We are deeply grateful for our continued partnership with SchoolCARE and for the community’s steadfast commitment to our schools.
Right now, SchoolCARE is at the end of their spring fundraising drive. This is a critical time, because what they raise now will come to the District for next year’s programming. I understand that not every family is in the position of being able to give. If you can, please donate now. If you can’t give money, perhaps you can donate your time and volunteer with SchoolCARE for a few hours or maybe even join their board.
During the pandemic, SchoolCARE’s motto was, “When everything is uncertain, what can we rely on? Each other.” This feels like a time when we need to revisit that sentiment. Regardless of how you can help, please consider supporting SchoolCARE, so that AUSD can continue to do more for our children.
