Air Quality Guidance

Posted Date: 09/09/26 (10:56 AM)

Dear AUSD Community,

Yesterday, we experienced our first smoky conditions of the season following a controlled burn on Angel Island. We want to take this opportunity to share the guidance we follow to help keep students and staff safe when air quality is poor.

AUSD keeps apprised of the Air Quality Index (AQI) and adjusts outdoor and physical activity as needed in accordance with the guidance we follow listed on the School Air Quality Activity Recommendations chart below. Additional information is available on the AUSD Air Quality webpage.
